Needless to say, that is not true in the case of the huge bass that ply the waters in search of golden shiners or other baits. Lake Okeechobee:

Lake Okeechobee, world renowned bass fishing destination, is the second largest freshwater lake inside the US borders. It cover nearly 750 square miles in south central Florida and is the natural headwaters of the Everglades.

Captain Angie Douthit is also a member of the very exclusive IGFA Certified Captain Program. The IGFA is the governing body of the sport fishing industry and has established their own classification of the certified guides that reflect the stringent standards and practices that the IGFA were founded on.
